Firnity Discord for Confluence keeps site-wide and space-owned setup distinct so administrators can see who controls each resource and which Confluence content it can use.
Global Settings
Confluence application administrators use Global Settings to connect Discord servers and manage global notification rules, scheduled summaries, page lists, commands, panels, and Discord access policies.
Application analytics
In Global Settings, open Settings to change Application analytics. A Confluence application administrator controls this setting for everyone using Firnity Discord for Confluence on the current site. Application analytics is ON by default. A saved site-wide choice is preserved during ordinary updates and retained reinstalls. When earlier personal settings are migrated, any saved OFF choice starts the site-wide setting OFF.
Select Privacy details beside the switch for information about data handling. Turning it OFF stops optional recording in your current app view immediately; other active views check the saved setting periodically. Error and operational reporting remain available independently. Public website analytics have their own controls.
Space Settings
A space administrator opens Space settings, then Discord, to manage resources owned by the current space. Space-owned rules apply only to that space. Space-owned commands and panels can use only supported targets from the same space.
Choose the scope before creating a resource
| Need | Use |
|---|---|
| Connect or reconnect a Discord server | Global Settings |
| Set site-wide find-page or link-preview access | Global Settings |
| Watch several spaces or any page on the site | Global Settings |
| Keep a rule, summary, list, command, or panel within one space | That space's Space Settings |
| Let a panel use resources from several spaces | Global Settings |
A global panel can target global resources or supported resources owned by any space. A space panel can target only page lists and create-page commands owned by that same space.
Start with a healthy connection
Before creating a destination, confirm that the Discord server is connected and that the chosen channel does not show Needs access or Unavailable. Use the permission guide when the destination is visible but incomplete.
