A Confluence application administrator starts the connection from Firnity Discord for Confluence Global Settings. A Discord server owner or another person permitted to install apps approves the Discord step.

Connect the server

  1. Open Confluence administration, then open Firnity Discord for Confluence.
  2. Select Discord Servers in the app navigation.
  3. Select Add server. Discord opens in a new browser step.
  4. Choose the intended server, review the requested access, and approve the connection.
  5. Return to Confluence and confirm that the server appears under Discord servers.

A successful connection appears in Firnity Discord for Confluence with actions to open the server in Discord, reconnect it, or remove it. Open the full-size screenshot.

Confirm the destination before relying on it

Open Notifications, create a rule, and select a channel that the app can access. The destination picker marks a visible channel as Needs access when required Discord permissions are missing. A previously saved channel that the app can no longer view appears as Unavailable.

Send the current preview to the selected destination. A successful preview confirms the route without saving the draft or creating a Confluence page.

If the server already appears

Use Reconnect when the Discord authorization needs to be renewed. Use Open to view the connected server in Discord. Removing a connection deletes its notification rules, scheduled summaries, panels, and server access settings from the app. It does not remove the app from the Discord server; remove it in Discord separately if required.
